Studio City Sound congratulates Meteor 17/EMI recording artists Flying Machines on their debut album, mixed at Studio City Sound by Tom Weir. Flying Machines, produced by Spencer Proffer and Steve Plunkett, are developing an international following after landing music on USA Networks’ Psych promos, and their lauded win in Converse’s “Get Out of The Garage” music contest.

Akshay Kumar spent a few days at Studio City Sound's Studio B to complete ADR for his upcoming film release, "Singh Is Kinng". Kumar is known as the "Kinng of Bollywood" since he has been the top box office draw for India's growing film industry. He is quickly becoming internationally recognizable due to numerous projects and appearances (including being featured in a Snoop Dogg music video).

During February we also enjoyed working with Michael Damian (who recorded a song that aired on Young & The Restless March 26th), Jupiter Rising with Chime Entertainment’s Marc Tanner, Loomis Fall (of MTV's "Jackass"), Jack Allocco (music coordinator of the Young & The Restless), Heather Youmans, and Tommy Osuna (mixing the work of the late Buddy Miles).

We were thrilled to welcome Neal Peart (pictured with Tom Weir) to our studios! Neal is a true legend of rock as a lyricist and drummer of Rush, and laid down some amazing tracks for Vertical Horizon's current project.
Mo'Nique (pictured left with SCS engineer Steven Valenzuela) kept everyone laughing during her recent visit for an ISDN live radio interview on Public Radio International.
Studio City Sound also welcomed American Music Club for an exciting live ISDN interview and live recording for NPR. Max Morgan continues to put the finishing touches on his upcoming release. We also are working with Miles To Nowhere, Crystal Day, Ben Conga, and the Supa Lowery Brothers.
