View performances from Juke Kartel’s recent appearance at Studio City Sound.

JUKE KARTEL is an echelon of the true Aussie Rock breed; forged in the music alleys of Melbourne Australia, producing an array of music interlaced with the history of their time, the rock of their era and the contemporary uniqueness that can only be JUKE KARTEL…..

Dale Winters on lead, Tommy Kende on bass, drummer Jay Pinfold and frontman Toby Rand, a vocalist who can hold his own amongst peers of the highest calibre.

JUKE KARTEL have performed over 40 shows in the Los Angeles area as well as shows with Slash & Friends (Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Navarro, Fergie, Billy Idol, Andrew Stockdale, Chester Bennington, Travis Barker and more) one in Norway at the Quart Music Festival for 30,000 people; a performance at the Los Angeles Youth Network benefit and another opening for Slash’s “SLASHER FILMS” Sundance Launch Party in Park City, UT.

In 2009 Juke Kartel relocated to Los Angeles and signed a record deal to Carved Records. The band toured America as a support act for Slash, Ozzy, Fuel, Rockstar: Supernova and opened for Nickelback and Seether during their earlier Australia tours.

Lead singer Toby Rand became a household name in Australia when he appeared on the CBS TV show Rockstar: Supernova with Tommy Lee. He was a lead runner the extent of the show and ultimately remained loyal to his band Juke Kartel back home in Australia; resulting in a national arena tour of the USA and Canada with Rockstar: Supernova following the show.

JUKE KARTEL was the first unsigned artist to perform at the MTV Awards Australia and receiving a People’s Choice Award in 2008. The band had played its fair share of small clubs and pubs for the last few years before Nickelback asked them to open two stadium gigs in Melbourne; they then played with Seether during their earlier Australia tours. Juke Kartel have also performed at several music festivals and completed several tours in and around Australia.

Toby and his band are strong advocates for several causes, Breast Cancer Research being the main; teaming with Susan G Komen in their tireless efforts, Rand’s self-written song “BRIGHTEST STAR” became SGK LA County’s official music track for their campaign last year. Itunes proceeds from “BRIGHTEST STAR” goes to Susan G Komen Foundation LA County. CBS NEWS LA covered a televised story on how the song was inspired, created and brought to fruition.

Here we have JUKE KARTEL; a dynamic and progressive rock band; a charismatic bunch of Aussie charmers with a strenuous appreciation and penchant for what they do….dedicated to taking you upon a journey of rock and soul. They will rock you with an intensity unparalleled and shake your hand whilst doing it.

Next up was a stint as a member of gavin DeGraw’s touring band. Jimmy is the go-to guy if an act needs a quick learner who plays kick-ass keys. After spending some time in his current home town of Nashville as an in-demand session player, he has now rejoined Gavin DeGraw for the Maroon 5/Train tour which opens tonight in Chula Vista, CA, travels to Paso Robles for a fair gig on Saturday and then to the Hollywood Bowl for Monday’s performance.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2011

Studio City Sound (SCS), the legendary recording studio whose clients include Rod Stewart, No Doubt, Eric Clapton, Weezer, and Blondie (among others), continues its webcast with live video streaming, featuring their trademark state-of-the-art sound. This week, as an antidote to Carmageddon 405 (the closing of a major freeway in Los Angeles), Studio City Sound’s “SCS LIVE” will broadcast an exciting group of artists live from the studio.

“SCS Live” will broadcast this Sunday, July 17th starting at 12 pm (PST) featuring a lineup of live performances. Watch the broadcast at:

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/studio-city-sound-live

12:00 p.m. – Layla Lane
1:30 p.m. – Ground Zero
3:00 p.m. – John Julian
5:00 p.m. – Kara Grainger
6:30 p.m. – Jeff Silbar
8:00 p.m. – Toonyun
9:00 p.m. – Images

A world-class recording studio, Studio City Sound is well-known for offering the grandeur of an old-fashioned studio in a historic location (formerly known as Fidelity Studios) where great musicians including Billy Joel, Steve Miller, and The Runaways have been recorded and mixed. SCS combines the best of digital recording with classic vintage audio equipment, for unmatched richness and depth of analog sound. Studio City Sound is owned and operated by Grammy-Award winning mixer-producer Tom Weir.

Recently, SCS upgraded to Panasonic HD cameras, a Datavideo HD switcher, and Stellar Lighting equipment – to offer full HD services for all facets of video production. With this new equipment, Studio City Sound has transformed into a multi-camera production facility that offers live streaming video to artists, as well as professionally produced videos ideal for Youtube, DVD, broadcast, and elsewhere. Artists can even stream recording sessions live so that fans can watch while albums are being created, providing instant feedback to their favorite performers.

This week’s broadcast will be especially noteworthy since the artists’ performances on SCS LIVE will be made available on iTunes shortly after the broadcast, including selected HD videos.

These services are not confined to the studio either – SCS recently completed both HD video production and remote Pro Tools audio recording of “ Friday Night Live” featuring Craig Taubman at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater on July 8, 2011 and is able to offer the same high quality production anywhere.
